My name is Dawn Wallace and I am the class teacher for Banksy class. The students in Banksy class are primarily year 10 and year 11 students so we have a real focus on functional literacy and numeracy skills as well as a big emphasis on gaining skills for life. I am the mother of two young boys and I am originally from Canada. I like to travel and experience different cultures. I also look forward to taking my boys to Canada each summer so they can learn about their Canadian roots while spending time with their relatives. Banksy class is named after the street artist Banksy and is part of the Guggenheim gallery where we prioritise a) highly individualised programmes personalised to learning goals (EHCP) b) additional support in forming appropriate friendship c) regular opportunities for the acquisition of independence and life skills (include out of school learning).
