As part of our new curriculum we are very pleased to offer a new and exciting programme for each pupil in Louvre and Tate Modern galleries to take part in. Woodland Skills is an off-site programme based around a Forest School ethos with a focus on Personal Development, Team building and Health and Safety. This programme will take place for six weeks and is based at the Hill End Outdoor Educational Centre. Each participating class will be transported using school vehicles and be back in time for the end of the school day.

The classes are supervised by class adults and the Hill End educational team and undertake activities such as:
• Ecological investigations
• Building shelters
• Bushcraft style cooking
• Survival camps
• Health and safety rules

Pupils who have attended have said the following:
“It was fun because we got to build fires and shelters. I liked the sheep too!” – Omario
“I liked toasting marshmallows ‰- they were tasty!” – Harvey
“I liked the team building challenges.” – Amy
