New-build update

Now that the groundworks have been completed, we are really excited to see our new school building taking shape. Our building contractors, Kier, have been assembling the main steel structure of the building. We can also see floors and stairways being installed!

Anti-Bullying Week 12th November 2018

This week we are supporting anti-bullying week.  We will be focusing on this in our assemblies and will be selling anti-bullying wrist bands, so that students can show their support.

Planning Approved For Iffley New Build!

As you know we have been working hard to get everything in place for our new building here at Iffley.  The amazing news is that on Wednesday night planning was signed off by the city council so we now have the go-ahead to start the build process.  It is likely that we will see the start of this in January …

Michael Rosen Reads Hirst Class Poetry

On the 24th September famous author Michael Rosen shared an online YouTube reading which featured poetry from Hirst class.  He read their versions of the poem ‘Down Behind the Dustbin’.  Have a listen, see what you think and perhaps even try and write your own!  Hirst class poems are read out at 1 hour 38 minutes into the live stream.

Tom tops the county!

Iffley Academy student Tom was nominated in the ‘Best Progress’ category at the county music awards for his violin progress.  He had been nominated by his violin teacher and went on to win the prize which was awarded at the Oxfordshire gala earlier this month!  Tom regularly performs at school and is known for his confidence when playing the violin.
