My name is Karen Errington and I work in Tula class, which is one of the sixth form classes. Tula class is named after a group of inspiring Australian Aboriginal artists from the Western Desert, Australia who have made dot art famous. I recently started teaching at Iffley Academy and I love working here. It is exciting and rewarding to work with young people as they make decisions about what they would like to do in the future, discover new interests and learn new skills. I have worked in other schools in Oxfordshire, and taught in Japan and Tanzania.
One of my passions is travel and meeting people from those countries – I think it is a great way to learn new things, and I love trying all the different foods. One of the most challenging things I have eaten is a fried tarantula in Vietnam!
